Specific Weirs
- Vratimovský jez (Jez v Hrabové): Located on the Ostravice river (km 11.900). It was built to stabilize the riverbed and for electricity generation in a small hydroelectric power plant (MVE). This is a fixed, double parabolic weir with a height difference of 4.5 m and no sluice. A fish pass (2-3 meters wide) is on the left bank, while the MVE is on the right. This weir is considered dangerous even at low water levels.
- Jez Vítkovice: Located on the Ostravice river (km 8.793). It supplies water to industrial enterprises and is also used for electricity generation. It features two weir fields, each 20.8 meters wide.
- Jez Přívoz: Located on the Odra river (km 11.830). It supplies water to the Svoboda coking plant (OKK Koksovny, a. s.) and generates electricity. It has two weir fields, each 20.0 meters wide.
- Jez Lhotka: Located on the Odra river (km 14.940). It supplies water to industrial plants including BorsodChem MCHZ, s. r. o. and the Svoboda coking plant, and is also used for power generation. It consists of two weir fields, each 20.0 meters wide.
- Jez Porubka: Located on the Porubka river (km 5.552). This weir was created for water impoundment, flood protection, filling the Zámecký rybník (Castle Pond), and stabilizing the riverbed. It is an inflatable weir with a rubber-textile bladder filled with water, which is 1.34 meters high and 8.7 meters wide.
