📜 Via Ferrata Bechyně is one of the most challenging via ferratas in the Czech Republic, rated D/E. It features a demanding power traverse directly above the Lužnice river and requires climbers to return the same way.

Why Go

☀️ Experience a D/E difficulty via ferrata, one of the toughest in Czechia.
🧗‍♀️ Navigate a unique power traverse directly above the Lužnice river, including a rope bridge.
🏞️ Enjoy the physical challenge with sections requiring extreme pulling force and horizontal body positions.
🏊‍♀️ Combine your visit with a swim at the open swimming pool in Bechyně during summer.

Why Avoid

⚠️ This ferrata is only suitable for physically fit climbers due to its D/E difficulty and limited resting spots.
💧 Be prepared for potentially wet conditions if the river level is high, and slippery iron in wet weather.
🔄 It's a dead-end route, meaning you must return the same way, and it is bi-directional, so you may encounter climbers going the opposite way.
🅿️ Ensure proper parking to avoid fines, as parking regulations can be strict.
