Public Transport:

  • 🚇 U3 to Thalkirchen (Tierpark), 3 min walk to Isar Entrance
  • 🚌 MetroBus line 52 to Tierpark (Alemannenstraße), right at Flamingo-Entrance
  • 🚋 Tram line 25 to Tiroler Platz, 15 min walk to Flamingo entrance
  • ✈️ From Airport: S8 to Marienplatz, then U3 to Thalkirchen (Tierpark)
    By Car:
  • 🚗 Public transport is recommended due to limited parking, especially on weekends and holidays.
  • 💨 The zoo is not located within Munich's low emission zone.
    By Bike:
  • 🚲 Very accessible by bike, with a limited number of bicycle parking spaces available.

P1 | Tierparkstraße (near Isar-Entrance):

  • 🚘 Cars only.
  • 💰 Max 5,00 €/day, payable by coins or EC-card at machine.
    P2 | Siebenbrunner Straße (near Flamingo-Entrance):
  • 🚌 Omnibuses and cars.
  • 💰 6,00 €, payable by cash or card (EC, Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
  • 📸 Features a barrierless parking management system with license plate scanner.
    Disabled Parking:
  • ♿ Limited spaces available in both car parks.
  • ✅ Parking fees can be refunded for valid disabled card holders at cash registers on the same day.

✅ The zoo is generally flat and has ramps where needed. Wheelchairs are available for rent.

🐾 Pet Policy

🚫 No pets are allowed inside the zoo, with the exception of service animals.

🍽️ Food

🍔 Plenty of options: restaurant and beer garden, pizzeria, bistro, café, kiosks, and crepe stand.
🗓️ Most places open February to November; zoo restaurant open all year.
