Child-sized house in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, built between 1928 and 1930. Also known as the Florence Shaw Demonstration Cottage.
Conceived by Florence Shaw of Shepherd College to make summer school classes more interesting. Local stonemason Charlie "Big Moustache" Jones and Potomac Edison Company donated labor and materials. This limestone cottage features Dutch Colonial Revival style architecture, stands 10 feet tall, and measures 10 x 9 feet at its base. It is fully furnished with a functional fireplace and working lights. A miniature barn is also part of the complex, located across Town Run.
