Tálínský rybník is a large, beautiful pond surrounded by nature, a classic example of the South Bohemian landscape. It's a place known to many Czechs from a beloved folk song.
It's a great spot for a peaceful, short walk or a bike ride along the path that goes around it. If you want to experience the typical quiet scenery of the region, this is a perfect stop.
This isn't a managed tourist attraction, so don't expect lots of facilities. It’s more of a natural spot that you can enjoy as you pass by. One visitor mentioned a slight smell from the water, but still found it beautiful.
You'll find the pond just off the main road between Písek and České Budějovice, near the village of Tálín.
