Situated about 5 km northeast of Blatná, adjacent to Myštice, with the village of Chobot on its northwestern bank. The pond is 2600 meters long, 450 meters wide, and lies at an altitude of 450 meters, holding 1.95 million m³ of water from the Kostratecký Stream.
