⚠️ The trail features rocky and uneven terrain, making it unsuitable for bicycles, strollers, or wheelchairs.
❄️ In winter months, parts of the trail can be icy, requiring caution.
The main section of the trail spans approximately 13 km, typically taking 4-5 hours to complete.
For the anniversary event, four circular routes are offered:
🟢 10 km (3-4 hours): Family-friendly, for beginners.
🔵 16 km (4-5 hours): Recreational, for regular hikers.
🟠 20 km (5-6 hours): Advanced, with an option to visit medieval gold mines.
🔴 25 km (6-7 hours): Challenging, including the Regional Museum and Pepř lookout tower.
Start points include Petrov u Prahy and Pikovice, with the trail often ending in Kamenný Přívoz.
The most recommended way to reach the trail is by train (link S6) to "Petrov u Prahy" station.
For the anniversary event, a historic steam train "Všudybylka" runs from Prague-Vršovice to Týnec nad Sázavou, stopping at Petrov u Prahy (Pikovice).
Free shuttle buses also operate between Pikovice and Jílové u Prahy during special events.
Access to the Posázavská Stezka itself is free year-round.
For the June 21, 2025 anniversary march, registration fees apply: Adults 50 CZK, KČT members 30 CZK, Youth (under 15) 20 CZK. This fee includes a magnet, diploma, special map, and discounts for local attractions like the gold mines and museum.
Wear sturdy hiking boots, as the terrain can be stony and slippery in places.
