The Bystřička Dam is a water reservoir nestled in the beautiful, wooded hills of Wallachia, built over a century ago. It has since become a place for quiet recreation.
It's a great spot for a relaxing day out in nature. You can take a 5 km walk around the reservoir, though you'll be sharing the path with cars. The area is peaceful, with opportunities for fishing and boating. Entry is free, and there are places to get refreshments nearby.
According to visitors, the water can be murky, making it less than ideal for swimming. The dam area is not the bustling tourist center it once was, and the walking circuit around it is on the road, so you need to be cautious of traffic.
The village is accessible via the I/57 road and also has a train station on the Hranice na Moravě – Púchov line.
