Porto Selvaggio Beach
Porto Selvaggio
Escape to a natural swimming spot inside a park. It's a bit of a walk to this rocky cove, but the beautiful blue water is worth it. [0, 1]

Porto Selvaggio, which means "Wild Harbor", is a stunning spot located within a national park. It's not your typical sandy beach, but that's part of its charm. [0, 1]

Why go

If you're looking for a beautiful, natural place to swim, this is it. The water is incredibly clear and blue. [0] The beach is set in a dense pine forest, offering plenty of shade for a picnic or just relaxing. [0] You can even find spots with cool, fresh spring water flowing into the sea. [1] Even when there are a lot of people, it never feels uncomfortably crowded. [0]

What to expect

The beach itself is rocky, so it's not the best for laying out a towel right by the water, but you can comfortably set up camp in the forest area just behind it. [0]

Getting there

From the bus station, it's about a 15-minute walk. [0] If you come by car, there's a large free parking lot, but you'll have a walk of about 15-20 minutes through the woods to reach the cove. [0] If you don't feel like walking, especially later in the day, a minibus can take you for about €2.50. [0]

Amenities

Don't expect a lot of services here. There is one small stand that sells drinks and some pre-made food. [0]
