⛰️ Chata Pancíř is a mountain hut with a lookout tower, located at 1214 m above sea level in the Šumava mountains. Built in 1923, it offers accommodation, a restaurant with traditional Czech cuisine, and various recreational activities for families and individuals, alongside a historic lookout tower offering breathtaking views, accessible by chairlift or hiking.

🐾 Dogs are only allowed on the outdoor terrace of the restaurant. ❄️ The lookout tower itself is closed during winter months (November-March), though an observation terrace remains open for views. 🚪 The "Open Doors" art installation is removed for winter to prevent weather damage.

🚠 Take the 2750m long chairlift from Špičák, overcoming a 354m elevation gain. Bikes and sleds are allowed. The boarding station is about 200m above the main Špičák-Železná Ruda road. 🚌 In summer, use the ecological bus from Špičák, which connects to routes in the Bavarian National Park. 🚶♂️ Access via various hiking trails, including the blue tourist route from Železná Ruda (5.5 km) or red route from Špičácké Sedlo (2.6 km). 🚴♀️ Cyclists can also reach the summit from Špičácké sedlo. Nearby cycling route (KČT no. 2100) and scooter rental available at Kaskády parking.
🛏️ The mountain hut offers accommodation in rooms with either private or shared bathroom facilities, with a maximum capacity of 32 persons, ideal for school trips and family recreation.
