The Komořany and Modřany Pools, also known as "Modřany Lagoons," are a natural monument in the southern part of Prague, located at the confluence of the Berounka and Vltava rivers. Originally built in the 19th century as flood protection, they have since developed into a valuable secondary ecosystem of floodplain and riparian vegetation, home to diverse flora and fauna.
