Martis Peak Lookout
An early 20th-century fire lookout in Kings Beach, California, still in intermittent use, preserving legacy fire-locating equipment.

📜 Built in 1914 for forest fire suppression, refurbished and reopened in 1997.
🔍 Staffed by volunteers in summer, open for visits when not actively in use.
