Malá říčka is designated as sport fishing district no. 401 016 VLTAVA 4 – Malá říčka ve Stromovce, managed by the Czech Anglers' Union. While fishing is permitted, spinning is strictly prohibited.
Originally part of the Vltava's natural flow, Malá říčka underwent significant transformation in the 20th century due to river regulation. Severely damaged by the devastating 2002 floods, it underwent extensive revitalization. This included the removal of 22,500 m³ of sediment, replanting of riverbanks, and comprehensive repairs to its dam and inlet system, restoring its ecological balance and aesthetic appeal.
The surrounding Stromovka Park is publicly accessible year-round, including several barrier-free entrances. While the stream itself is part of the park's network of paths, some areas may be less accessible.
The stream and its surrounding park area are managed and maintained by Lesy hl. m. Prahy (Forests of the Capital City of Prague), ensuring its continued ecological health and public enjoyment.
