The first hut was opened in 1892 by the "Lobositzer MittelgebirgsVerein" but was burned down by vandals in 1918.
The current hut was built between 1924 and 1930, originally named "Schwarzenberghütte" after its patron.
During WWII, it served as a German army observation post.
After a period of decay, it was renovated in the late 1970s and has been owned by KČT Lovosice since 1990.
Operated by the Klub českých turistů (KČT) Lovosice.
