🏗️ Tower Details

The tower's steel structure is shaped like a cylinder, widening towards its base, supported by four parabolic columns.
Inside, a central tube houses a spiral staircase.
The main viewing platform is at 25 meters, while an intermediate platform at 12.5 meters is reached by the first 72 steps.

📜 History

The current tower, opened in 2014, is not the first on Kotel Hill.
An earlier wooden "Krásná vyhlídka" stood from 1895 to 1909, followed by a military steel mast until the 1960s.

Getting There

🔵 Follow the blue tourist route to the summit.
🚶‍♂️ It's a 1.5 km walk from the nearest parking area under the hill.
🚂 Adventurous hikers can start directly from Rokycany train station (approx. 4 km walk).
🛣️ Alternatively, access via a forest road from Rokycany-Veselá, leading to a small forest parking lot.

🗓️ The lookout tower is open year-round, 24/7.

🅿️ Limited parking is available at the designated lot under the hill.
🌲 A small forest parking lot is also available off the Rokycany-Veselá road.
