History & Features

📜 Originally a 14th-century farmstead, the estate was transformed into a romantic English park by Bishop Leopold Linhart Thun-Hohenstein between 1817 and 1826.
⚙️ The park once featured fascinating mechanical figures, including a moving Chinese figure in the pavilion, a rising hermit in the hermitage, and a knight in armor within the castle ruin.
✨ Recent renovations in 2014 restored the lookout tower, hermitage, spring house, and several statues.
🏡 Since April 2021, the Cibulka estate is owned by the Vlčková Family Foundation, dedicated to children's palliative care and hosting community events.
🚧 Note that Café Cibulka, located within the estate, is currently undergoing reconstruction until autumn 2026.
