🏞️ Proposed National Park

Future plans include establishing a National Park within the most valuable 16% of the current Protected Landscape Area.
Access for visitors, including entry restrictions to sensitive areas, vehicle rules, and camping, is expected to remain largely unchanged from the current CHKO regulations.
Cycling and horse riding will continue to be permitted on designated routes, with current marked trails preserved and new ones planned in cooperation with local municipalities.
Water tourism on the Berounka River will remain unaffected by the National Park's establishment.
Collection of forest products like berries, mushrooms, and firewood for locals will continue to be allowed in most areas.
