🎣 Fishing

The Jiviny reservoir is part of the Šárecký potok 2 sport fishing revir (sub-revir no. 3).
🚫 Fishing is permitted only from the left bank, from the end of the dam to the Dědina settling basin (marked by signs).
❌ Wading, ice fishing, and fishing from vessels are prohibited.
⏰ Fishing is allowed daily from 05:00 to 22:00.
⚖️ Daily catch limit is 7 kg of all fish species, with specific limits for carp, pike, zander, and other predatory fish (max 2 pieces combined), and salmonids (max 3 pieces).
📏 Minimum sizes apply to many species (e.g., Carp 40 cm, Pike 60 cm, Zander 45 cm).
🎒 Mandatory equipment includes a measuring tape, landing net, fishing permit, fishing license, and hook remover.
🎣 Permitted methods include float fishing, bottom fishing, spinning (from June 16 to Dec 31), and fly fishing.

🚧 Technical Details

🏗️ Originally built between 1980-1984, the reservoir's earth-fill dam is 5.5 meters high and 288 meters long.
🧹 Over 40,000 m³ of accumulated sediment were removed during the 2020 revitalization.
🛠️ The right bank was reinforced with heavy boulder riprap, and the associated object underwent sanitation in 2022.
🌉 A new bridge was constructed in 2024, and the Litovicko-Šárecký stream bed was reconstructed in 2025.

The reservoir is owned by the City of Prague and managed by Lesy hl. m. Prahy. Fishing is managed by the Prague Regional Association of the Czech Anglers' Union.
