Jenny Lake

Jenny Lake is a beautiful and pristine body of water with the incredible Grand Teton range as its background. It's considered by many to be one of the prettiest spots in the area.

Why go

Enjoy the beautiful clear water, stunning mountain views, and well-maintained trails. You might even spot some local wildlife like bears or foxes! Key hiking destinations include Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and the breathtaking Cascade Canyon just a mile further.

What to do

You can hike around the shore, take the boat shuttle to the other side for easier access to the trails, or get on the water yourself. The lake is great for kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming in the connector lakes.

Checklist

  • If you bring your own boat or kayak, make sure you have both the Wyoming State and National Park permits and have had an inspection.
  • The weather can change quickly, so be prepared for rain even on a sunny day.

Parking

Parking is extremely limited and can be a nightmare. It is highly recommended to arrive very early in the day to secure a spot.
