📜 Sculptures known as "Sōzō-no-Zō" located on the gable of the Kamijinko (Upper Sacred Storehouse) within the Tōshōgū Shrine complex. These unique beasts with crescent-shaped eyes, golden tusks, and Japanese style were designed in 1635 by painter Kanō Tan'yū, who had never seen a live elephant.
