Hope Mill Conservation Area
A 190-year-old water-powered sawmill brought back to life by retirees who refused to let pioneer ingenuity gather dust.

šŸ“œ Hope Mill, nestled along the Indian River just north of Lang, Ontario, is a rare heritage site where history comes alive. Built in 1835, it originally carded and fulled wool, then shifted to lumber until 1966.
šŸ” Today, the mill's 1910 three-sided planer and eight-foot lathe operate again, powered by original water turbines and wooden gear system.
