📜 Hodonín Zoo is one of the youngest zoological gardens in the Czech Republic, appreciated for its natural setting within a beautiful floodplain forest.
🔍 It was founded in 1975, with its official opening in 1977, and is currently undergoing significant expansion.
☀️ Home to over 700 animals across 197 species (as of 2013), including endangered ones like the Ussuri tiger, jaguar, and Barbary lion. The zoo focuses on African ungulates and exotic birds.

🚌 The zoo is about a 20-minute walk from the train and bus stations. The "Bažantnice II" public transport stop is approximately a 10-minute walk away.
🤝 The zoo is operated by the City of Hodonín. It is a member of the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoological Gardens (UCSZ) and participates in European Endangered Species Breeding Programmes (EEP). Since 1996, it has also operated a shelter for abandoned dogs.
