Haldeikish
These boulders bear testimony to thousands of years of cultural exchange along this trading route.

Haldeikish, also known as the Sacred Rock of Hunza, is Pakistan's oldest rock engraving site. Dating back to the first millennium, it features two upper and two lower boulders measuring 180 meters in length, reaching nine meters at their highest point. The site is rich with hundreds of ibex depictions, along with stylized human figures, horses, trees, geometric patterns, everyday tools, and Buddhist religious symbols. Inscriptions in Kharoshti, Brahmi, Soghdian, Bactrian, Chinese, and Tibetan scripts attest to its role in cultural exchange along the Silk Road.
