📜 History & Collections

Founded in January 1966, the gallery moved to the renovated castle riding hall in 1983. It specializes in Czech art of the 19th and 20th centuries and Russian painting, holding the third largest collection of 19th-century Russian art in the Czech Republic. This Russian collection is permanently installed in odd years, while even years feature extensive retrospectives of Czech art.

♿ Accessibility

GVUN Jízdárna offers fully barrier-free access to its exhibition spaces and restrooms. Other parts of the gallery may not be accessible.

🅿️ Parking

For GVUN Jízdárna, use the public parking near Náchod Castle (2-minute walk).
For GVUN Malá, public parking is available directly in front of the gallery on Plhovská Street.

🛍️ Gallery Shop

A gallery shop is located in the GVUN Jízdárna building, open during gallery hours. It offers a wide range of publications, souvenirs, and promotional items.
