History & Legend

โš”๏ธ Built by Venetians in 1371 to control rebels and protect against pirates
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Site of significant battles, including the resistance led by Daskalogiannis (1771) and Hatzi Mihalis Dalianis (1828)
๐Ÿ‘ป Legend of Drosoulites: Groups of shadows of soldiers seen moving from Agios Charalambos church to the castle, believed to be the fallen men from the 1828 battle. Documented since ancient history, with scientific explanations still debated.
