📜 This abandoned cable car station stands like a haunted ghost house high above the Danube River near Esztergom. It stands on two pillars in the water just a few meters from the shore. It was utilized as the unloading station for the cable car system, carrying coal powder from nearby Dorog coal mines to barges on the river. Built in 1927, it operated until 1963. Abandoned until 1994, an artistic foundation Váltótér Alapítvány wanted to make it a creative workplace, but it remains unrestored due to lack of funding.
