Why Avoid

🚶‍♀️ The extensive 6-hectare area might require significant walking, and the exposed location can be hot on sunny days.
⚠️ Castle grounds have uneven surfaces and stairs, limiting wheelchair accessibility.
🚫 Prohibited items include oversized luggage, pyrotechnics, weapons, roller skates, scooters, and bicycles.
🚭 Smoking is not allowed, and dogs (except guide dogs) are not permitted.
☔️ Parts of the castle may close during adverse weather conditions like snow, ice, or strong winds.
📸 Commercial photography and drone usage require prior written permission.

Permanent Exhibition: "Devín Castle: 110 Years of Archaeology" showcases research from 1913 to present.
Temporary Exhibition: "Attention, Border! Devín in the Iron Curtain 1948–1989" presents unsettling memories from communist totalitarianism.
Note: Exhibitions are closed during the winter season (November - March).

Free guided tours in Slovak are offered daily from Tuesday to Sunday at 10:15 and 12:15.
Private guided tours for closed groups are available for a fee of 25.00 € (max 1.5 hours, 40 persons).

  • The castle is closed on Mondays, January 1st, December 24th, 25th, 26th, and 31st.
