📜 Two bronze equestrian statues at the Royal Palace of Naples.
🔍 Gift from Czar Nicholas I to King Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies.
These often overlooked bronze sculptures, known as the "Horse Tamers," were created in 1851 by Peter Clodt von Jürgensberg. The original pieces stand on the Anichkov Bridge in Saint Petersburg. Copies were also sent to the King of Prussia (Heinrich-von-Kleist Park in Berlin) and the Peterhof Palace in Saint Petersburg. The Naples sculptures are unique in their location, far from the former Russian Empire's capital.
