📜 Býčí skála is a significant rock climbing area located in the Moravian Karst, characterized by its massive outer wall with tectonic plates and a distinctive arch offering overhanging routes of medium to high difficulty.
🔍 It is designated as a National Nature Reserve (NPR Býčí skála) and falls under the protection of the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Moravský Kras).
☀️ Rock Climbing: The area features climbing on very solid limestone, predominantly slab climbing, but also offers beautiful cracks and overhangs.
🏄♀️ Bouldering: If it starts to rain, you can find shelter and boulder in the natural gym of Kostelík, which also has some rope routes.
🚴♀️ Cycling: The path along the Svitava river is ideal for cycling, offering a scenic route from Brno (approx. 20 km).
⚠️ Time Restrictions: Climbing is permitted on some rocks only from July 1st to December 31st; otherwise, it is allowed year-round.
🚫 Rules & Restrictions:
• Climbers must not leave protection in routes after completing an ascent.
• Descent is exclusively by rappelling; do not ascend to the summits.
• Do not damage or alter rock surfaces (cutting, gluing). Do not remove trees or stones.
• Do not rappel using trees or bushes; no bivouacking.
• First ascents require consent from the CHKO Administration.
• For technical ascents of free climbing routes, only removable protection may be used; the use of pitons, rivets, spits, etc., installed with a hammer is prohibited.
🚗 Driving: Access is best by car to Adamov, then towards Křtiny. If coming from Líšeň, it's better to come via Křtiny. The main group of rocks at Býčí skála is past the turn-off for Blansko.
🚌 Public Transport: A train runs to Adamov, from where you must continue on foot.
