The "Painful Stones" project is a modern Stations of the Cross in the Písek Mountains, featuring fourteen artistic installations that symbolize the greatest pains of contemporary human life and guide visitors towards hope. It was spiritually guided by singer Marta Kubišová and theologian Tomáš Halík.

Getting There

📍 The journey begins at the "U Vodáka" parking area
⬆️ The path is 1.5 km long, ascending through the natural park
⛰️ It concludes at the "Vyhlídka píseckých lesníků" (Písek Foresters' Viewpoint) beneath Jarník hill
🚶‍♀️ Be prepared for a challenging, steep ascent to the summit after the fourteenth stop
