The complex was awarded to the Chitrao family in 1633. The oldest temple, built in 1673, was the original Ram Temple (reconstructed). The Siddheshwar Temple (1738) is dedicated to Guru Dakshina. The Lakshmi Narayan Temple (1749) has been rebuilt several times due to flooding. The largest, Amruteshwar Temple (1778), is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features an underground garbhagriha. The Hanuman Temple (1791) and Vithoba Temple (1830) complete the complex. It is managed by the Amruteshwar Mandir Trust and showcases Maratha period architecture.
